The ToupTek IMX290M Planetary Mono is a 1.25" barrel size planetary camera using the Sony IMX290 CMOS sensor. With a quantum efficiency of >81%, read noise as low as 0.53e- and 2.9µm pixels, the IMX290M is an excellent camera for high resolution planetary imaging.
The IMX290M's back-illuminated sensor has QE up to 81% and very good NIR sensitivity, making it possible to use IR-pass filters to cut through the atmosphere and bring out finer details.
The IMX290M is equipped with USB 3.0 connectivity as well as a traditional ST-4 autoguiding interface. Thanks to the high transmission speed of USB 3, the IMX290M can reach an incredibly fast 124FPS at full resolution. The built-in 512MB DDR3 memory ensures reliability over long sequences of high framerate video capture. Its 1.25" barrel design also makes it straightforward to use with most off-axis guiders (OAG not included).
