Astronomy Specialist
The ZWO ASIAIR MINI is a smart Wi-Fi device which connects your cameras and telescope equipment and allows to control them remotely using a smartphone or a tablet. The MINI edition is 42% smaller and 21% lighter than the PLUS, while retaining much of the functionality and performance of the larger model.
The ASIAIR MINI utilizes integrated eMMC storage, resulting in a super stable and quick system with increased I/O speed compared to the old PRO model. Note: for planetary imaging, the bandwidth of the MINI's USB 2 ports may not be sufficient. Instead, it is recommended to purchase the PLUS model. The ASIAIR Mini can only live-stack with cameras that have resolutions less than 26 megapixels, whereas the Plus does not have this limitation.
4 x USB 2 and 4 x 12V DC power out ports allow you to connect cooled cameras, guide cameras, EAF focusers, and more. The newly added USB Type-C port makes transferring files to your PC super fast (with an optional USB-C to USB-A cable). The USB-C port can also be used to power the MINI (delivering 5V @ 0.5A).
The ASIAIR MINI is made of CNC machined aluminium, fully anodized and extremely compact with a size of only 78 x 52 x 26mm.
Note: all ASI cooled cameras cannot be powered over USB and require 12V power.
ASIAIR supports both iOS and Android systems:
1. Some DSLR cameras that have a 30-second exposure limit require an external shutter release cable.
2. The items with an exclamation mark in the table above have not been tested.
Supported mounts:
Right now, the ASIAIR MINI is able to support hundreds of equatorial mounts from more than 20 manufacturers worldwide. For details, please refer to the “ASIAIR MINI User Manual”.
Very fast delivery, item description was very accurate.
Great little product
I love dealing with the guys at Testar. Order is despatched on same day and arrives within two days. Great Service.
The ASIAIR Mini is just out of this world for automating the imaging workflow. I am a beginner but I have made giant strides because of this product.
